If you have pets, you know just how much they mean to you. However, sometimes it’s difficult to keep track of aspects of your pet’s life such as vaccination dates, weight, and contacts.
VIPetBook is perfect for pet owners, vets, groomers, and shelters helping them keep track of vital records for an unlimited number of pets.
Concept and Functionality:
While pet apps certainly aren’t new, VIPetBook, a brand-new app for iPhone and iPad by Ioannis Kousis, takes pet record keeping to a whole new level.
This is an app that goes well above and beyond simply tracking important dates.
One of the things I like the most about VIPetBook is that it’s incredibly easy to navigate even if the pet database is large. This is fantastic news for vets, groomers, and animal shelters, as it means they can keep track of animals and access records easily.
Also, VIPetBook lets users add as much or as little information about each pet as they would like.
What this means is anyone can use the app for anything, whether it’s just to keep track of appointments and procedures, weight, important contacts, or anything of the sort.
VIPetBook iPhone App
Personally I’ve never encountered an app like VIPetBook. It’s clear that the developer has made the app flexible enough for everyone, from pet owners to vets and everyone in between.
As you can probably imagine, VIPetBook is loaded with features.
From appointment tracking and reminders to data entry capabilities for things like procedures and vet costs, pretty much everything is covered in the app.
When it comes to building a profile for an animal, you can be as detailed or as brief as you like, including linking each pet to a set of photos and contacts.
While VIPetBook has everything covered, one feature I’d love to see implemented into the app is a way to transfer pet profiles from device to device, either via account or export/import.
This would allow vets and groomers to easily add new animals to their database and even seamlessly update the animal’s profile and records on your device, as well.
VIPetBook is available to download from the App Store for $0.99 and is universally compatible with iPhone and iPad.
Overall, VIPetBook is a must-have pet app for anyone who has animals, especially if they’re not already keeping track of important records.
Vets, groomers, and shelter workers can take advantage of VIPetBook’s features, as well, making it an incredibly flexible app that’s right for everyone.
VIPetBook requires iOS 8.3 or later and is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. This app is optimized for iPhone 5, iPhone 6, and iPhone 6 Plus. A small expedite fee was paid to speed up the publication of this review.
